Also, it is the best time to give some protein and complex carbohydrates to keep the cravings at bay. It is a compulsory meal for all and more important for people who are trying to lose weight.

Skipping breakfast for weight loss is the blunder many people do thinking that they can cut calories but it actually backfires, yes, backfires every time.

The ideal healthy breakfast should pack some protein and carbohydrates. In India, we have a wide variety of breakfast recipes from north to south India. Although most of the breakfasts are best suited to the region, people who are trying to shed a few kilos or weight loss needs to be careful about the breakfast choices.

The good thing about poha is you can add whatever you want to it easily. Depending on the diet and calorie requirement you can tweak this a little bit. Add a lot of fresh vegetables like carrots, beans to our poha, and of course, you can easily improve the protein by adding the roasted peanuts or soaked chana dal and garnish with some herbs if you wish.

It could be taken as a stand-alone breakfast item as well. Boil, soak and saturate with healthy fats and many vegetables to improve the fiber content in it. Also, add peanuts for further boost your protein intake. It is a best weight loss breakfast choice.

5. Whole wheat toast with peanut butter:

Bread is a popular healthy breakfast choice in India. Of course, its full of carbs, but carbs however required in the breakfast. Particularly, the whole wheat bread and multigrain bread make the healthy choices and aid in weight loss. To cover up the lack of protein, you can add peanut butter instead of bread spread or butter. 6. Porridge:
